Dag Syrrist

Dag Syrrist is an advisor to the BootstrapLabs Venture Studio for Climate and Energy.
Dag has a broad range of venture capital, venture-debt, growth-equity, fund management, fundraising, corporate business development, corporate venture, public policy and regulatory experience from more than 30 years in the venture capital industry. He has actively participated in the design, formation and execution of seven equity and debt funds, with combined $525 million under management, in the US and across Europe.
He has chaired and worked with numerous national, private and government advisory and policy boards in technology and regulatory affairs, including the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, National Science Foundation, White House Office of Science and Technology, Western Governors Association, the Sandia, Hanford and Oakridge National Laboratories, and the NATO Scientific Advisory Board.
Dag has served on the Boards of Directors of numerous US and European emerging and growth stage technology and services companies and works with not-for-profit organizations in education and health care including the Park School Foundation and the Myelin Repair Foundation in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dag holds a BA in Business Administration from Lincoln University and an MA in International Economics from San Francisco State University. He was born in Norway, lived 7 years in Spain and moved to the US in 1983. He lives in Palo Alto, California.
